Freeplane is a free and open-source software application that helps you think, share knowledge, and accomplish tasks at work, school, and at home. The software can be used to create mind maps and analyze the data contained in them. Freeplane works on any operating system that has the latest version of Java installed. It can be operated locally or from portable storage, such as a USB drive.
