VirtualBox Extension Pack
The VirtualBox Extension Pack was introduced in VirtualBox as a new approach to enhance the capabilities of the basic package.
The expansion pack does not require a separate installation. The packs have the "vbox-extpack" file extension, which VirtualBox automatically handles. To install it, simply close any active Virtual Box instances and double-click the extension pack file; the program will launch and install it for you, upgrading any previous versions of the extension pack that you may have.
The latest expansion pack features a USB 2.0 (EHCI) controller, which improves performance for USB 2.0 devices. To utilize it, you must manually enable the controller and install filters for the USB devices you wish to use with it.
VirtualBox Remote Desktop Protocol (VDRP) support enables you to operate a virtual machine on one computer while seeing and controlling it from another. Intel PXE boots ROM with support for the E1000 network card enables you to remotely boot a computer via emulation. Since Version 5.1.x, the Oracle VM VirtualBox Extension Pack has been compatible with the latest Virtual Box versions for Windows 10 and Windows 11.
