USBDeview (32-bit)

USBDeview 32-bit is a tiny software that displays a list of all USB devices that are now connected to your computer, as well as those that you have previously used. Extended information is presented for each USB device, including the device name/description, device type, serial number (for mass storage devices), date/time of addition, VendorID, ProductID, and more. 

USBDeview also allows you to remove previously used USB devices, disconnect USB devices that are currently linked to your computer, and disable/enable USB devices. You may also use USBDeview 32-bit on a remote computer as long as you log in as the administrator.

Features and Highlights

• Device Description: Full description of the device.
• Device Type: The USB class code specifies the device type. For additional information on USB classes, see USB Class Codes.
• Connected: This indicates whether the device is currently connected to your computer. If the device is connected, use the 'Disconnect Selected Devices' (F9) option to disconnect it.
• Safe to Unplug: Determines whether it is safe to remove the device from the USB plug without first disconnecting it. If the value of this column is false and you want to unplug this device, you must first disconnect it using the app utility's 'Disconnect Selected Devices' option (F9) or Windows' 'Unplug or Eject Hardware' tool.
• Specifies the drive letter for the USB device. This column only applies to USB flash memory devices and USB CD/DVD drives. Be warned that USB Deview cannot recognize drive letters on USB hard disks.
• Specifies the device's serial number. This column applies only to mass storage devices (flash memory, CD/DVD drives, and USB hard disks).
• The Created Date indicates the date/time when the device was installed. In most circumstances, this date/time number represents when you initially connected the item to the USB port. However, be warned that in some cases, this value may be incorrect.
• The Last Plug/Unplug Date indicates the last time you plugged or disconnected the device. This date value is lost when you restart the machine.
• VendorID/ProductID: This specifies the device's VendorID and ProductID.
• USB Class/Subclass/Protocol: Specifies the device's Class, Subclass, and Protocol as per USB specifications. For additional information on USB classes, see USB Class Codes.
• Hub/Port: Specifies the hub and port numbers where the device was plugged in. This value is null for mass storage devices.
