Templates that work. Starts quickly.

With one click, you can start up important processes for recording, mixing, mastering, making beats, or just playing a virtual instrument.

Putting together a beat?
When you load a Smart Template, changing the Pattern is already open, and only the features you need are shown.

Mixing sound?
You can load your favorite channel strips and a drop zone to quickly load stems into a Smart Template when you open it.

Are you just starting out?
In a Tutorial window, each Smart Template gives you step-by-step steps to help you make your first production.

Drag-and-drop. All of it.

Anyone can use Studio One's innovative drag-and-drop approach, no matter how much experience they have or how new they are to recording.

Add audio loops, virtual instruments, and effects.
You can put plug-ins, audio files, and other things into Studio One's cutting-edge Browser. Studio One makes the music for you!

Make copies of FX chains
Every clip needs to be dragged and dropped from one channel to another!

Get time maps and chords
You can get ideas from anything with just a little drag and drop.

Working together. Made easier.
You can drag and drop things into and out of your PreSonus Sphere Workspaces.

Change the sound
You can use samples instead of drum sounds by dragging the source track to an Impact XT track.

What's New In Studio One 6.1

The words Track can be used for both making lead sheets with the Score Editor and adding words to your audio projects as a reference. You can even move lyrics to the Show Page and use them during practice or on tours that last a long time.

  • What's new in 6.1? The lyrics go live. Do you need to change something about your live set? You can now change lyrics from the Show Page itself. If you put Lyrics View into Performance Mode, your computer, tablet, or big screen will act like a teleprompter. This is great for long shows.
  • What's new in 6.1? Ripple Edit Help. When you turn on Ripple Edit, you can quickly swap or rearrange words, lines, or even a whole area. What's New in 6.1? Using Scratch Pads, you can add new words to an existing song. Using Scratch Pads to keep track of different versions of a song or part is very helpful. You can now play around with both music and words.
  • What's new in 6.1? When you hover over the words, they will show up in full. You can see shortened lyrics by moving your mouse over the lyrics event, even when you're zoomed out!
  • What's new in 6.1? Bring in words from MIDI files. With a single drag and drop, you can now add both lyrics and notes from MIDI files at the same time.
