Softros LAN Messenger is a simplified chat app that doesn't need to talk to cloud-based services to work. Instead, it was built from the ground up to work perfectly in a peer-to-peer LAN network. It lets computers on the same local area network chat with a lot of different features, like text messages, emojis, a progress bar, a tabbed interface, system sounds and visual alerts, a built-in file transfer service, and hotkey support.

LAN Messenger works even when the internet isn't connected. This means that if your whole LAN network loses its internet link or never gets it, the chat connections will still work.

It has grown into a very powerful communication client that home users, small businesses, organizations, and companies of all kinds can easily add to their Intranet, LAN, and WAN networks. It gets new and exciting features all the time. To better meet the needs of more picky users, the people who made Softros LAN Messenger added a lot of advanced features. These include built-in support for Remote Desktop Sharing and Terminal Services, easier installation, and advanced security that is based on end-to-end AES-256 encryption.

How to Install and Use?

For some of the biggest businesses in the world, Softros LAN Messenger already has all the features it needs to have. However, the installation package is still pretty small—less than 20 MB. It only takes seconds to set up the most popular version of Windows because it comes with an easy-to-use setup. For bigger businesses, system managers can also use a separate ".MSI" package that is designed for setting up Active Directory on a large scale and using Terminal Service Engine for terminal servers.

When you first start it up, you'll see a very simple user design that makes it easy to get to chat features. It is possible to add directories to the user listing window to make managing a lot of users easy. Each chat window has a tab for chat logs, a tab for message text, and tools for desktop sharing, group chat invites, and file transfers that are easy to get to. Users can not only chat with other users one-on-one, but they can also send notes to groups of people they choose. The past Viewer in Softros LAN Messenger is one of its best features. It shows all text chat and file past with any user you choose.

There are hundreds of useful settings in the settings area that can make your chat experience smoother and more unique. There are eight different tabs that hold all of the configuration tools: General, User Information, Messaging, Sound Events, Network, File Transfer, Logging, and Hot Keys.
