SeaTools for Desktop has a simple interface with many menus that allow you to choose from a variety of diagnostic utilities. 

When you open the software, the application will automatically detect the inserted drives. This covers both internal and external drives. The application also detects the drives' model numbers, status, and firmware versions. The status indicates whether a certain device is still being discovered or if testing can be performed immediately. 

Choose the drive to test and then select a tool from the "Basic Tests" menu. You can save the most time by using the Short Drive Self-Test and the S.M.A.R.T. Check. They'll inform you if your drive is working within acceptable parameters. However, these solutions do not provide a full report. 

If you want to undertake a more extensive assessment of your drive configuration, you can utilize the application's advanced tools or do a Long Generic Test. Simply be aware that these processes take significantly longer to finish. Additionally, some data may be lost throughout the procedure. 

Other significant features include a boot disk properties report, a test to detect the current antivirus software installed, and a set of shortcuts that open typical Windows applications such as System Info, System Properties, Device Manager, and Disk Management.
