PassFab for ZIP is a full-featured password recovery tool that enables all Windows PC users to recover passwords for encrypted ZIP, 7ZIP, and PKZIP files. It accomplishes this task by supporting all of the most recent decryption methods, as well as three forms of efficient attacks for human password phrase discovery. This application, which has been used by over 3 million people worldwide, is one of the most streamlined, dependable, and quick methods for recovering passwords from encrypted ZIP archives.

PassFab for ZIP is available online as a compact installation zip of less than 20MB and can be readily installed on practically any modern desktop or laptop PC with at least a 1GHz single-core CPU, 512MB of RAM, and 200 MB of free storage space. Because of the substantial work that the CPU must perform during the password recovery process, it is strongly advised to grant the application access to the multi-core processor and at least 1 GB of RAM.

To get the fastest password recovery timings, leverage the computer's GPU for accelerated password decoding, which can be up to 40 times faster than the CPU alone. Both Nvidia and AMD graphics cards are supported. The tool can deal with ZIP, WinZip, 7ZIP, PKZip, and PicoZIP archives, however, it cannot handle encrypted 7Z archives.

  • Brute-force Attack: Try all possible combinations, which takes more time.
  • Brute-force with Mask Attack: Customize numbers, symbols, characters, etc.
  • Dictionary Attack: Quickly find the password from an inbuilt or customized dictionary.
  • CPU - multi-core CPU supports maximizing recovery speed
  • Decrypt a wide range of encryption algorithms - including the latest AES encryption

This ZIP password recovery tool, like all of PassFab's other apps, has a very clean and easy-to-use design that makes it easy to use all of its tools right away. You can choose a file on the main dashboard's file picker, and just below it is a slider for three different attack types: "Dictionary Attack," which uses the most common password phrases (you can make your dictionary), "Brute Force with Mask Attack," where users can give hints about parts of the password, and "Brute Force Attack," which uses all possible combinations of characters, symbols, and numbers. Clients only need to pick one of these three choices, press the "Start" button, and wait for the password to be found. At any point in the process, you can pause and start again.
