Kingston SSD Manager is an application that allows users to monitor and manage several elements of their Kingston® Solid State Drive. SSD Manager works on all operating systems. The Kingston SSD Manager is incompatible with Mac OS and Linux distributions.

With SSD Manager you will be able to:

  • Monitor the drive's health, status, and disk utilization. 
  • View drive identifying data, including the model name, serial number, firmware version, and other pertinent information. 
  • View and export detailed drive health and status reports. 
  • Update the drive firmware. 
  • Securely wipe data. 
  • Manage TCG Opal and IEEE 1667. 
  • Overprovision using Host Protected Area (HPA) (DC400 series only).

The Firmware tab provides the following drive information:

  • Physical device route. 
  • Volume information. 
  • Vendor/Model: Serial Number 
  • Firmware version

To use Kingston SSD Manager, you must have:

To use one or more Kingston® SSDs, enable AHCI mode in the BIOS and have administrator capabilities in Windows.

Installation Process:

  • Click the Kingston SSDManager (KSM) link to begin the software download. 
  • Locate your download and extract its contents. 
  • Launch the KSM Setup executable as an administrator. 
  • Follow the directions in the Setup Wizard to complete the KSM software installation. 
  • Once your installation is complete, the machine may need to be rebooted.

There is also a table listing all of the supported health attributes along with their technical details and values:

  • Attribute: The attribute number and description. 
  • Normalized: The attribute's current normalized value. 
  • Worst: The attribute's lowest recorded normalized value. 
  • Threshold: The value that an attribute should not exceed during regular functioning. 
  • Flags: The number of flags connected with this characteristic.
