JoyToKey is a fully functional free keyboard emulator that lets Windows users control their mouse or keyboard inputs using the buttons and thumbsticks on their gaming controllers. This is notably handy for a wide range of games that lack complete gamepad support, such as many web games, standalone game applications, console emulators, and other apps. JoyToKey gives you complete control over the functionality of your favorite gamepad, allowing you to use its buttons and sticks to control keyboard (single or multiple) strokes and/or mouse movement while the target program remains unaffected.

Installation and Use 

JoyToKey is a portable Windows application that may be launched from either local storage or a USB flash stick. The app's creator has not released a separate installer/uninstall package for public usage. 

Joy2Key's primary interface window includes two panes that list all of the gamepad profiles that have been built, as well as an extensive list of button commands for each selected profile. Each game controller button can be assigned a keyboard or mouse command either manually or through the Auto Setting Wizard, which prompts you to provide a command for each of the identified buttons and axes. 

The configuration page has four unique tabs and a "Disable" area for temporarily halting the emulation of your gaming controller. You may also configure particular settings for simulating keyboard and mouse and optimize how your game controller responds in certain situations.
