The new Import Field Mapping dialog box allows you to more quickly map imported source data to app fields. Improve app discoverability for your users. When you launch File Maker, it will launch a specific custom app. A preview release script step can be used to save a copy of a program file in XML format. The XML file allows you to more quickly compare changes between file versions. Create scripts that read, write, and handle external data files in order to generate log files or export data in a specific format. 

Easily debug your workflow automation. Use a preview script step to write script error information to a log file. Repeats logic while the condition is true and returns the result, eliminating the need for some recursive custom functions. Determines the maximum number of iterations for recursion and loops within an expression. The default limit is 50,000 iterations, which can be reduced or increased using this function. 

A new permission set enables developers to delegate account access control to other team members without granting full access to any other elements of the file. The redesigned Manage Security dialog box simplifies the process of managing access to your own apps. The Plug-in SDK enables developers to digitally sign plug-ins. Notifications alert users before loading an unsigned plug-in. Prevent other FileMaker files from accessing your custom app's data and schema. The "Require full access privileges to use references to this file" setting is now enabled by default in newly created files.
