EarthDesk for PC. turns your desktop into a stunning, real-time image of Earth from space, which updates in the background while you work. The program includes near-real-time clouds, precise sun and moon images, city lights, and other features. The tool is more than simply a lovely picture. Features and Highlights

EarthDesk offers 12 projections, including Mercator, Azimuthal, Equirectangular, and Globe with an optional starfield background. 

To center, use latitude/longitude, a point relative to the sun or moon, or any of the 10,000 places. A data subscription provides you with even more centering possibilities. 

Map Labels 
Multi-color labels can be used to classify cities by category and locate them on EarthDesk maps. Labels are defined per screen to maximize flexibility. 

Performance 
EarthDesk for Windows runs in the background and consumes minimum resources. Aside from the stunning image on your desktop, you won't even notice it's operating. 

Multiple Screens 
One, two, three, or more screens may be used simultaneously. Display a separate map on each one, or spread a single map across all of your screens. 

Live Cloud Images 
The free cloud image service offers Earth Desk with worldwide cloud images at a resolution of 2 megapixels. Standard cloud photos are updated every six hours. 

Earthquakes occur worldwide. Choose the lowest magnitude to display, the number of days they will last, and fade out earlier earthquakes. 

Track named tropical storms, including cyclones, typhoons, and hurricanes. Choose how to identify the storm and whether to show the Safir-Simpson category. 

High-resolution clouds
A data subscription gives you high-resolution cloud photos with a detail level of 32 megapixels. High-resolution clouds are updated every three hours.
