DiskGenius (previously PartitionGuru) will recover your files from various data loss scenarios and bring you out of difficulties. DiskGenius is a full-featured partition manager that is intended to optimize disk use for Windows users. It enables you to resize, expand, split, create, remove, format, hide, copy, and erase partitions in order to maximize disk space use. With a few simple clicks, you may create a system image backup for your present Windows to secure it!

Change the size of an existing division or divide it into two smaller ones without losing data. Partition a hard drive with just one click. It is very easy to partition a fresh hard drive or repartition a disk that already has partitions. Permanently erase existing and erased data in a partition such that files cannot be restored using any method, thereby preserving sensitive data. Disk Genius can assist you in creating and formatting a partition with your selected filesystem format. It supports the following file systems: NTFS, exFAT, FAT32, FAT16, FAT12, EXT2, EXT3, and EXT4. Create a WinPE bootable disk to manage disk partitions when your system crashes or your computer does not have an operating system.

DiskGenius offers an all-in-one partition backup solution that will fully secure your data from any potential threats.

Image Partition
Efficiently back up everything on a partition into a single compressed file with a few clicks, allowing you to restore data from the image file if data loss or disaster occurs.

Clone Partition
Duplicate all data from one partition to another without stopping any active processes, ensuring that the duplicate is completely similar to the original drive.

Browse picture files.
Browse and recover files from the image file without repairing the partition, then copy the appropriate files/folders to a destination place.

Supported file systems
Backup partitions formatted as NTFS, exFAT, FAT32, FAT16, FAT12, Ext2, Ext3, and Ext4.

Features & Highlights

  • Basic partition operations include creating new partitions, deleting partitions, and hiding partitions. You can specify the partition's detail settings.
  • Supports a wide range of fixed drives, including IDE, SCSI, and SATA. It also supports USB flash disks, USB hard drives, and memory cards.
  • Supports the FAT12, FAT16, FAT32, and NTFS file systems.
  • Can read files from the EXT2/EXT3 filesystem. Supports Linux Logical Volume Management (LVM2).
  • Support for GUID partition table style. Supports GPT disks.
  • Can fast format FAT12/FAT16/FAT32/NTFS partitions. You can set cluster size or choose to compress the NTFS partition during formatting.
  • Can view any files in any supported partition, including secret partitions, as well as files that cannot be accessed normally. You can also forcibly delete files in supported partitions.
  • Help assign or remove drive letters. Support for recovering deleted files and files from formatted or inaccessible FAT12/FAT16/FAT32/NTFS systems.
  • Support for lost partition recovery (partition table rebuild). During the recovery process, you can immediately see the files in the missing partitions. This is the best approach to check whether the partition discovered by Disk Genius is exactly what you're looking for. You can also restore lost files from a partition even if the partition table is not saved to disk.
  • You can backup the partition table to a file and then restore it from that file.
  • Can backup the entire partition to an image file and then restore it from the image file.
  • Support partition copying. Three copying modes are available: "Copy all sectors", "Copy all valid sectors", and "Copy all files".
  • Allows you to clone disks. Also, include three copying modes, such as partition copying.
  • Supports VMware virtual disk files (".vmdk"). Use it in the same way that you would any other disk.
  • Can copy data (from or to the virtual disk) and recover lost files from the virtual disk file while the VMWare virtual machine is not in use.
  • Supports ".img" and ".ima" image file formats.
