Clementine for Windows is a free and open-source multiplatform music player designed with usability and efficiency in mind. It allows you to easily control all aspects of your music listening, including playlist management, internet streaming radio from Spotify, SKY.fm, Grooveshark, Last. fm, and others, music transfer to portable devices (Apple devices are fully supported), music control via remote control, and much more. Created from the ground up to serve both novices and pros, this music layback and music library manager meets the needs of everyone interested in the world of audio entertainment, and it can be hosted both locally and online.

The first version of this fantastic application was released in early 2010, based entirely on the Qt 4 and GStreamer frameworks, which enable the creation of cross-platform applications for Mac, Windows, Linux, and Unix-like platforms, all of which are supported by Clementine. The necessity for this app arose after famous music player Amarok totally changed its visual style and supported functionality, prompting its community to criticize it and seek out new audio playback software. This inspired the open-source community to fork the software and create their own Clementine, led by developers David Sansome, John Maguire, Pawel Bara, and Arnaud Brenner. They swiftly developed an app that combined the greatest aspects of Amarok v1.4 with new features that increased its usefulness.
