The purpose of Buildbox for Windows PC was simple: create the ideal video game builder that anyone can use to create video games. There is no coding or programming needed. The software includes all of the tools you'll need to complete your game. It is not only easy to use, but it also makes popular games. Buildbox has produced numerous number-one hit games, including Color Switch, Damn Daniel, and The Line Zen.

To keep things easy, it included the creation tool. The creator tool lets you choose variables, build a skeleton for your game, and instantly insert placeholders to help you get started. This tool will automatically set everything up for you. You'll get access to a visual map of your game, including the start screen menu, gameplay stages, and the game over screen. From within the creator, you can double-click on a certain screen to open it for modification or reroute the sequence of your game as desired.

Features & Highlights

How Does it Work?
Creating games with drag-and-drop software is as simple as building a PowerPoint presentation. It only takes a second to add a new character, enemy, object, platform, decoration, power-up, effect, or background to your game by dragging and dropping the image into the level editor. You can also quickly update their properties as needed and test the game along the process.

What Games Has It Created?
Since its initial debut in January 2015, it has developed over 150 popular games that have been featured by Apple, topped the App Store rankings, and acquired by big publishers. It's an incredible feat, surpassing all other game developers combined. Color Switch, Damn Daniel, Slip Away, Ball Jump, The Line Zen, Phases, and Endless Sky are some of the most well-known Build Box games.

Who is it for?
The program was designed to be intuitive. Anyone can utilize it. Unlike other game makers, you don't have to be a tech expert to utilize it. Simply said, the Build box is popular among gamers.

Character Settings
Buildbox for Desktop allows you to simply add a variety of animations and effects to your character. Edit your character's hitting zone or collision shape. Make them shoot, move, or jump in a unique fashion. Add several noises to your character's actions, such as jumping, firing, and a ground collision sound for when the character hits the ground. Gameplay effects can also be applied to characters. Choose Shadow to add a light effect to your character similar to in-game Phases, or Auto Tilt to cause the camera to shake when a character is defeated.

Multiple character settings
It supports multiple characters. This option lets you include many characters in your game and manage how players interact with them. Each character can have distinct capabilities and abilities by selecting the appropriate parameters in the character gameplay settings. Choose how to unlock the character, whether it will be free or require in-game funds, and the movement effects.

Scene Editor
We have place holder visuals in the scene editor that correspond to the gameplay style you have selected. It's kept very simple, with only a character, a platform, a single adversary, and a particle effect for good measure. The place holders allow you to swiftly add or duplicate items and arrange your environment however you want. With the outliner option, you may view all of your game's layers, hide them, lock them in place, or group and reorganize them.

Debug Mode
It includes all of the developer tools you'll need to create not merely games, but great games. By clicking the little bug icon in the Scene Editor, you can enter debug mode and see all of your objects' collision shapes. This collision overview shows you the skeleton of your game. Using this view, you can simply ensure that your gaming plays smoothly and without any extra bumps or transitions that your player may encounter while playing.

Node Menu Editor
The node menu editor lets you completely change your game's layout. Adjust the settings to include all of the menu screens you want, click to add more screens, or double-click to go right to the level editor and edit. The menu system is also color-coded for quick reference. Green signifies a UI menu, whereas blue suggests a gameplay screen. You can also rearrange the order of menu screen connections by dragging and dropping.

Menu Animations
The program allows you to add interactive animations to your game, making it genuinely stand out. With new keyframe animators, you can animate menus and build whole cut scenes. It only takes one click to open the menu animation editor, record a character leaping onto the screen, and set it to play every time the game starts. It makes it very simple to personalize each animation by providing a thorough graph of the movement, which can be changed in free mode to make actions more accurate or fluid.

Coins
In Buildbox for PC, coins serve more than just a scorekeeping function. Features enable you to add and customize anything you desire with a single action. Actions can dramatically alter the way a player interacts with an item. Simply drag and drop an item into the editor and set its action to coin. You may easily have your character accumulate coins and then sell larger quantities of coins. It also featured enhanced power-ups, a continue and checkpoint system, and in-app purchasing opportunities.

Light Effect.
Small details make all the difference. With the program, you have everything you need to properly focus on the details that matter and create something unique for your game. One of the most effective methods to accomplish so is through effects.

Custom Fonts
Use Buildbox's font builder to generate custom fonts for your game. Create in-game labels, text for coin pickup, and display your total coin amount or score. You can now utilize several typefaces throughout your game. All of the fonts offered are those that are already installed on your computer; if you select any additional fonts, simply install them as you would on your computer, and they will show in the font editor.

Much more
With the purchase of a Build box, you receive all of the developer tools needed to create outstanding games. Anyone with no prior coding or technical knowledge can hop right in and start creating with the software's simple drag-and-drop interface. There is no limit to what you can create with this powerful game designer.
