Features & Highlights
Customized workflow to fit any style.
The software has a customizable panel-based user interface; you may select what you want to see based on the task on up to three displays.
Your boundless creative space.
The Detail Editor improves audio editing by allowing you to make non-destructive modifications to a clip. This lets you to extend, divide, pitch, pan, copy, reverse, add, move, and rearrange audio as desired. Edit numerous tracks in the same window, make notes using audio as a reference, limit your view to a single clip, or expand it to see everything in the track.
The most expressive DAW in the industry.
Aside from typical note editing features and per-note expressions such as Velocity, Gain, Pan, Timbre, and Pressure, the studio offers unique tools such as micro pitch and advanced layered editing, and it is a pioneer in MPE compatibility.
A device is a device within a device.
Device Nesting is a very useful feature for sound design with any combination of Bitwig devices and VST plugins. From Container Devices to FX slots, it is likely that another device will fit almost anyplace. Nesting Devices refers to the ability to insert a gadget inside another device... ideally, this can continue indefinitely.
Modulation redefined.
Until now, modifying one parameter from the next typically resulted in losing direct control. The software is hard-coded with a Unified Modulation System, which allows you to link any device parameter, including nested internal devices and VST plug-ins, without losing control. It has never been easier to modulate practically any parameter between devices. Nothing is locked, so you can experiment on the fly to find the optimal modulation range. Make your devices come alive, create dynamic sound connections, and listen to your music breathe.
Bitwig Studio connects the ecosystem.
The utility integrates seamlessly into your existing configuration. With contemporary software architecture, 32-bit and 64-bit VST plug-ins are natively supported, eliminating the need for third-party bridging to run your favorite plugins simultaneously. Dedicated Hardware Instrument and Effect devices let you control hardware synthesizers, drum machines, and effect racks from within your project.
Damage Control
Never again will one plugin bring down your entire project. The "sandboxing" mechanism incorporated into the application ensures that plug-in crashes do not disrupt critical production time or your performance on stage. The music studio safeguards your productivity while running your VSTs efficiently, allowing you to create without interruption.
Only have one idea? Think again.
The bassline from your previous session could be the missing piece in your present project. Your recent song's rhythm section seamlessly transitions into the next. There's no need to close anything or navigate through intricate file structures. BitwigStudio allows you to open many projects at the same time and drag & drop them.
Mission Control
The dynamic Inspector panel functions as a workflow accelerator. It adapts to your location and switches its emphasis to provide you with quick access to the resources you require. You can use the Inspector to edit several notes, events, clips, or tracks at the same time. The Histogram is a feature of the Inspector panel that provides a unique approach to randomization and variety.
Simplify your mixture.
Group Tracks is a tried-and-true method for efficiently managing numerous sections of a mix at once. Grouping similar tracks together allows them to be controlled as a unit, which is quite useful for organizing your workplace.
Browse, Audition, Insert and Swap
The Pop-Up Browser makes auditioning and selecting Devices, Presets, VSTs, and Samples quick, easy, and motivating. With extensive search and filter capabilities, it's never been easier to find the song you're looking for.
Note that saving and exporting are disabled in the sample version.
