Netcut
Netcut is a lightweight but extremely useful network monitoring application that can instantly provide you with a detailed breakdown of your network, including information about all of the computers and devices connected to it, such as IP/Mac address, data transfer usage, signal quality, uptime, and a variety of other metrics. With a single press of a button, you may gain visibility into the devices that are affecting your local home or work network, as well as the ability to scan a specific IP address of your choosing. Scanning includes both ethernet connections and WiFi devices that are directly accessible from your local network. Netcut can also be used to identify ARP spoof attempts in advance by leaving it on for an extended length of time.
Even though the simpler than usual user interface and the lack of advanced tools may focus this app much more toward inexperienced users who just want to gain a simple breakdown of their networking status, it can still provide valuable information to the enthusiast who just wants a quick scan of the network neighborhood and to access some of its available tools such as network speed control, detect unknown (guest) users on the network, allow/disallow network access to a selected.
Installation and Use
Netcut comes as a little installation package that attempts to install two separate applications on your PC. After a brief installation, you can access the netcut through your web browser rather as a standalone software.
Even though the app's developers had the opportunity to design a visually beautiful interface, they chose to focus on the necessities, and users received a clean, simple single-colored layout with no embellishments. This web app's UI is organized into tabs (User, Options, Pro, and Records), with the User tab containing all of the basic capabilities for scanning your network and activating integrated functionality for managing network access to specific devices. Each found device is displayed with detailed information, including its name, IP and MAC addresses, the network device's brand name, connection status, and the Attacker/Protected status indicator.
The choices page contains only a few configuration choices, including Fast Scan mode, Cut Off method, random MAC assigning, and Query Rate scan.
